Breakfast at Gliffaes

breakfast at Gliffaes

The reason you just have a cup of tea and a slice of toast for breakfast at home is so that when you go away there is no reason to stop you having a delicious cooked breakfast. Good Welsh bacon & sausages, egg and maybe black pudding too, with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice just to keep the doctor happy.

You may come down to breakfast at anytime between 8 and 10am and if you want to have breakfast in bed you can. Your room rate includes breakfast.

When you come into the dining room for breakfast you will find the buffet table laid out with;

  • Fresh fruit platter.
  • Homemade muesli and cereals.
  • Natural yoghurt, dried fruit and compote.
  • Pastries and croissants.
  • Freshly squeezed orange and local apple juice.

I have mentioned full fried breakfasts but you could also have;

  • Home baked ham and eggs.
  • Kippers.
  • Smoked salmon with scrambled eggs.
  • Baked Y Fenni Goat’s Cheese & Oatmeal Slice with Fruit Compote or Local Maple Cured Bacon

A cafetière of freshly ground coffee or a pot of tea and your newspaper should round everything off nicely. If the sun is out take your paper and another pot of coffee on to the terrace.

Should you be in the unfortunate position of having to leave early we can serve breakfast before 8am if you give us notice the night before.
