Crickhowell Walking Festival 2012

Walkers on the Gliffaes Hotel led walk - March 2010

Walking Festivals Fifth Year and now more walks for 2012.

25th February – 4th March 2012.

Plenty of walks for all abilities and a special offer from Gliffaes.

In 2011 over 900 walkers came to Crickhowell and the Black Mountains to join in on one of the many daily guided walks. There are walks to suit all abilities and tastes and all are led by keen local walkers who have a good deal of local knowledge . Many of the walks are led by knowledgeable local historians, archaeologists or naturalists. Some of the walks are all day affairs over the Brecon Beacons while others are much more modest affairs along the canal or around Crickhowell.

In addtion to the walks there are many other activities planned along with talks and concerts in the evenings. The full programme is published on the Walking Festival Website. Have a look at the programme and then book (on line) a place on the walks you like the sound of. There is a modest fee to take part on your chosen walk and group sizes are limited to about 15.
