Congratulations! firstly on your engagement and secondly on deciding to consider Gliffaes as a possible venue for your wedding. You have taken the first step towards a hassle free and successful day. We will only cater for one wedding at a time and you will never have to share the Hotel with another wedding party. At Gliffaes we do not cater for more than two weddings per month.

We are good, no very good, at organising parties & weddings because;

• We have over 20 years experience.
• Your day will be supervised by one of the owners; your wedding day is as important to us as it is to you.
• We concentrate 100% on you. We only cater for one party at a time. Gliffaes is not a wedding ‘factory’ with other weddings going on around yours.
• We are licensed for Civil Ceremonies.
• We have one of the most stunning locations in Wales.

Hi James

Now that the dust has settled & life is beginning to return to normal after our wedding at Gliffaes on May 18th, I just wanted to drop you an e-mail to say thank you to you & to everybody for helping to make our wedding day so wonderful ! We just had the most fantastic time, as did our guests ! Everybody, without exception, thought that the hotel was beautiful, that the food was delicious, & that the staff were lovely ! I’m absolutely positive that myself & Wyn will be back – we’d actually like to do it all again ! I’m sure too that some of our guests will back.There’s certainly been talk of some of them spending a weekend at Gliffaes & taking advantage of doing some walking, & others bringing Mum along for lunch !

I’m sure that you’re complimented by many of your guests but I just wanted to let you know what really stood out for us. Firstly I guess, the setting of the hotel itself with its beautiful views, its comfort, our gorgeous bedroom, the delicious food & last but by no means least, the kindness & helpfulness yet unobtrusiveness of the staff. Our entire stay was just delightful & our wedding day now a fantastic memory. Thank you so, so much !

Location Location Location

Situated 150 feet above the river Usk and in 35 acres of stunning grounds Gliffaes is the place for a wedding. Whether you are outside on the glorious sunny terrace on a fine July afternoon or in the large drawing room with fires blazing for a winter wedding. Even better at Christmas with all the decorations around the house.

Please Note: At Gliffaes we ask that weddings finish at 5.30pm. We are unable to to cater for evening parties unless you are prepared to take over the whole hotel for two nights. (one night if its mid-week). We are often unable to do this during the summer due to the volume of our forward bookings.
