Flies and Tackle for the Usk at Gliffaes

Rods,  Lines & Waders.

For salmon fishing at Gliffaes we recommend using a 15ft rod in most conditions down to a single handed rod in low water. For trout an 8½ to 9 foot rod with 4/5 wt line is perfect. Chest waders and a wading stick are recommended over thigh waders.
