2009 Early Season Spring Fishing Offer

Two Day Trout Fishing Break

Runs from March 3rd - 30th April (excluding Easter weekend)

Fly fishing on the Usk in South Wales begins on 3^rd March and for those hardy soles who enjoy the early season we have a good deal running for the start of the fishing season.

Gliffaes is a well known fishing Hotel on the banks of the River Usk just outside of the village of Crickhowell in the Brecon Beacons National Park, South Wales. About 45 minutes from the M4 Severn Bridge Crossing.  We have one and half miles of fishing divided into 5 beats.

The Usk is regarded as the premier wild brown trout river in England and Wales. We had a very good start to the season last year with trout catches well up on previous years, in part due to the habitat restoration work carried out on the Usk and its tributaries making for better spawning. We had great early season fly hatches.

You will be very comfortable here as would any non-fishing partner. Large public rooms, open fires, a sunny conservatory, piles of magazines and good locally scoured food. In fact the Good Hotel Guide voted us Welsh Country Hotel of 2009.

Here is what’s on offer.

• Two nights bed and breakfast
• Three course dinner on both evenings

For single occupancy the price is £270 for the two days and for double occupancy* in a standard double (or twin room) the price is £475.
