Gliffaes is a well known fishing Hotel on the banks of the River Usk just outside of the village of Crickhowell in the Brecon Beacons National Park, South Wales. About 45 minutes from the M4 Severn Bridge Crossing. We have one and half miles of fishing divided into 5 beats.
The Usk is regarded as the premier wild brown trout river in England and Wales. We had a very good start to the season last year with trout catches well up on previous years, in part due to the habitat restoration work carried out on the Usk and its tributaries making for better spawning. We had great early season fly hatches.
We have put together a three day fly fishing break based at Gliffaes Country House Hotel that is valid until the end of August and is valid over weekends as well.
You will be very comfortable here as would any non-fishing partner. Large public rooms, open fires, a sunny conservatory, piles of magazines and good locally scoured food. In fact the Good Hotel Guide voted us Welsh Country Hotel of 2009.
Here is what’s on offer.
For single occupancy the price is £375 for the three days and for double occupancy in a standard double* (or twin room) the price is £650 if only one person is fishing or £710 if both people are fishing.
