With something close to a hundred different trees in our grounds the colours during Autumn are something to behold. Take in the Autumn colours on a guided walk around the Gliffaes Hotel’s collection of stunning trees followed by a two course lunch. James Suter, owner of Gliffaes and budding tree enthusiast will lead each of the guided walks.
After the success of last year’s walks I thought we should repeat the events. Set in 33 acres of mature parkland Gliffaes has a stunning collection of mature native British trees and specimens from around the globe. You will be shown the best trees at, hopefully the most colourful time of the year. Learn about the on going planting and management of the collection on the way around. Gliffaes is hosting four tree walks this Autumn:
Please telephone (01874 730 371) or email to book – places are limited. Arrive in time to start at 11am, bring a coat and wear boots or wellingtons. We will not be walking more than a mile in total. Cost £22 per person including a two course lunch and coffee. Dogs on leads only.

We are still unsure as to when we can re-open. I think it will be around the 24th May.
Gliffaes will not be open for outdoor dining only – I am afraid the numbers don’t stack up for us.
Mark Drakeford, The Welsh First Minister has given no definitive date for the opening of indoor hospitality in Wales.
This matter is further confused by the local elections on the 6th May. If Labour is returned to power he tells us that he will be minded to consider the opening of indoor hospitality on the 17th May and I guess he will give us about a week’s notice taking us to the 24th May.
Online booking is available and reception will be staffed from 9am to midday from Monday to Saturday, so please do call us.
Thank you for all your support and we hope to see you in May and beyond.
James & Susie Suter and all the team at Gliffaes.
