Whether you are staying at Gliffaes Country House Hotel as a guest or a local, the Drawing Room provides the perfect backdrop for a very jolly evening.
We are able to host parties between 8 and 20 guests, and we do not charge any room hire fees; you simply pay for what you eat and drink.
The Drawing Room is beautifully decorated with delightful period features, including an open fireplace and impressive wallpaper.
For private dinners we usually recommend a set menu for the evening, of course, we will cater for any food allergies and diet choices. After an initial discussion about what you might like to eat the head chef and I will put our heads together and send you some suggestions for your to consider before you decide upon the menu for your party.
We have a wine list of around about 80 wines and champagnes and if you don’t find what you are looking for I will try and source it. Alternatively, you can bring your own wine for a corkage fee.
If you would like to discuss things further please send us a message by clicking the button below or giving us a call on 01874 730 371.
We are still unsure as to when we can re-open. I think it will be around the 24th May.
Gliffaes will not be open for outdoor dining only – I am afraid the numbers don’t stack up for us.
Mark Drakeford, The Welsh First Minister has given no definitive date for the opening of indoor hospitality in Wales.
This matter is further confused by the local elections on the 6th May. If Labour is returned to power he tells us that he will be minded to consider the opening of indoor hospitality on the 17th May and I guess he will give us about a week’s notice taking us to the 24th May.
Online booking is available and reception will be staffed from 9am to midday from Monday to Saturday, so please do call us.
Thank you for all your support and we hope to see you in May and beyond.
James & Susie Suter and all the team at Gliffaes.
