The ethos behind our food is to offer you fresh, varied and locally sourced dishes that complement the seasons and the Welsh countryside. You will find that the food is not fussy or over complicated and that the portions will not over face you.
The kitchen brigade is headed up by Head Chef, Karl Cheetham, from Leyland, who has been with us at Gliffaes for over 15 years. Several members of his team have been here for almost as long. Such long service is unusual in most restaurants and a happy kitchen means happy diners.
In this corner of rural Wales, we are lucky to be able to source some superb meats, cheeses and organic fruit and vegetables to work with for our seasonally changing lunch and dinner menus. As part of our endeavour to keep all our suppliers local and sustainable, we are also proud to say that we only use fish approved by the Marine Stewardship Council.Request a table
