We are pleased to be able to offer Christmas Afternoon Teas once again this year, but the Corona virus regulations are going to mean things will have to be done differently.
Due to social distancing measures we are reducing the numbers we serve every afternoon and we are restricting the size of bookings to no more than 4. We have to serve you at a table so afternoon tea will take place in the dining room only. The current rules also state you may not stay longer than two hours. We are trying not to ring all the joy out of Christmas and we shall have a lovely Christmas atmosphere at Gliffaes and hope that despite the rules you will have a lovely afternoon.
Please remind yourself of the current Covid rules. Booking is required.
Afternoon tea will consist of savoury sandwiches (usually smoked trout, cucumber, egg, cheese & chutney and turkey & cranberry), homemade scones, clotted cream and jam and a selection of Christmas style cakes. Tea, coffee or fruit juice. We cater for, vegetarians, vegans and those with gluten intolerance. Please tell us when you book if any of your party will require such teas.
Homemade vegan scone with coconut cream and jam and a selection of vegan cakes.
Sandwiches on homemade sough dough or brioche: cucumber, vegan cream cheese with roasted tomatoes, roasted peppers with guacamole and chicory.
Tea will be £25 per head or £12 for those 10 or under. Gluten-free tea costs £25 and Vegan tea costs £26.
If you would like to come early and take a walk around the grounds and along the river then please do.Request a Table
We are planning to fully open from May 17th
We are also planning to offer outdoor lunch on the terrace from May 1st. (No details as yet)
Boris has spoken and it sounds as if ENGLAND will not be opening hotels until 17th May, I assume WALES will follow suit.
Online booking is available and reception will be staffed from 9am to midday from Monday to Saturday, so please do call us.
Thank you for all your support and we hope to see you in May and beyond.
James & Susie Suter and all the team at Gliffaes.
