Nesting Swans on the Usk

Earlier in the Spring around April / May time we noticed a pair of swans right at the very limit of the Gliffaes water on a small island sitting on a nest.
We kept an eye on them without going too close as they were very protective and territorial towards their nest. We found this out when one of the dogs got short shift when she went for a swim about 100 yards downstream of the nest. Towards the end of May the eggs were hatched and these great photos were taken by John Foster of Crickhowell.
